It was a sunny day and Fox was walking across the fields. Soon he came to a vineyard. As he came nearer, he could see some bunches of juicy grapes.

Era un día caluroso y un Zorro caminaba pro los campos. De pronto llegó a un viñedo. Cuando se acercó alcanzó a ver algunos racimos de jugosas uvas.

The Fox looked carefully around him. He had to make sure that he was safe from the hunters. And he decided to steal some before anyone came along.

El Zorro observó atentamente a su alrededor. Quería asegurarse que estaba a salvo de los cazadores. Y decidió robarse algunas antes de que alguien se acercara.

He jumped upwards but he could not reach the grapes. He jumped again as high as he could. He still could not reach them. The grapes were just too high for him!

Dio un salto pero no logró alcanzar las uvas. Nuevamente saltó lo más alto que pudo. Aún así no pudo alcanzarlas. ¡Las uvas estaban demasiado altas para él!

He was not ready to give up. He backed off, took some running steps and leapt into the air towards the grapes. Again he failed to reach them.

No estaba dispuesto a ceder. Retrocedió, tomó cierto impulso y pegó un salto en el aire hacia las uvas. Nuevamente no logró alcanzarlas.

It was getting dark, and he was getting angry. His legs hurt with all that running and jumping. At last he stopped trying.

Estaba oscureciendo y estaba disgustado. Sus patas le dolían con tantas corridas y saltos. Finalmente dejó de intentarlo.

As he walked away, he said to himself, "I don't really want those grapes. I'm sure they are too sour to eat."

Mientras se marchaba, se decía: "Realmente no me interesan esas uvas. Estoy seguro que están muy ácidas para comer".

MORAL
When we cannot get what we want, we usually pretend that it is worthless. It is easy to despise what we cannot get.
